To be safer I bought and use
I purchased this because I'm older now and getting injured more. It takes a lot longer to heal. It fits under Jersey with leg and elbow support for the single track and downhill and makes me feel better protected. All fits together in Camelbak going up. And for coming down hard and fast I feel more protected. It has taken a couple good slaps and still looks new. It does absorb and distribute strikes well.
