Great bang for the buck

"I honestly bought this for just frame since I found it on sale for a great deal. But I was surprised that the bike as a whole is a really great setup. The only thing that really needs to be addressed is the very lack luster hub engagement. For this price, it really needs to be better. But I still ended up upgrading the whole bike as I already had the parts leftover from previous builds. I swapped the heavy but decent fork with a fox 34 130mm, the sx drivetrain with nx, brakes to sram code r, rotors to 200mm, the wheels with basic set of niners that have way better engagement hubs, tires with specialized purgatory, stem to a truvativ atmos 50mm, bars to pnw range, pedals to rockbros xl, and added a pnw dropper. If you dont already have the parts, for the price of all of the parts plus the bike, I would recommend just getting the zaskar instead. But all in all, this is a very capable bike right out of the box and would recommend it."

Hello Justin, This bike does not come with thru axles and will come with a 9x100mm Front QR axle and a 10x141 QR rear axle.
The avalanche expert normally comes with rockshox, why does it come with suntour?
Hi Javier, GT made a special run of the Avalanche Expert 29 for the European market equipped with the Suntour. Some of the inventory of those European bikes made it into the USA market and mixed with the bikes equipped with the Rockshox. An inventory nightmare for GT, but nothing that Cambria Bike could do about it since the bikes are already boxed and ready for shipment by GT. Cambria ships out the bikes exactly as GT provides. is the avalanche in large a 29 ' tire size? the specs are confusing
The Medium and Larger bike can come in either wheel size. The bike you are looking at is the 29" wheel option. The title listing will say GT Bikes Avalanche Expert 29 or GT Bikes Avalanche Expert 27.5 for the tire sizing/
