Good product, versatile fit and easy to install
"If you are seeking elite-level components, look elsewhere. This is an inexpensive but decent-quality item, a good choice to replace a worn or damaged front derailleur, or to support a crankset with larger chainwheels. I installed this on a mountain bike that was originally fitted with a 22-32-42 crank, too small for here in the flatlands. The M310 will support a 48-tooth chainwheel, giving a straighter chain line and reducing wear on the cogset since the smallest (and fastest-wearing) cogs will rarely be used. Installation and adjustment are not difficult. Shims are included to accommodate several seat tube diameters, and the derailleur can accept both top and bottom pull cable routing. Thanks to the low clamp, the derailleur will not interfere with a bottle cage mounted on the seat tube on many frames, though your application may vary."
